& events in her 6 birth lorry.
Widmer Farm Stables is holding a lecture/ demo with Catriona McGarvie EBW APNT on Thursday 3rd September @ 6pm. Catriona is a local equine and human sport massage therapist, and is currently in her final year of a BSc (Hons) degree in Osteopathy. Catriona will talk about the equine musculoskeletal system, explain simple muscle physiology and discuss how damaged tissues can affect the horse's performance at all levels. She will also bring some insight to the aims of manual therapies and what the horse owner can do to help their mount, followed by a demo (weather permitting!) to bring the anatomy of the horse to life and answer any questions.
Cost: £10 for adults and £5 for Children (includes refreshments). Entries close by 27th August.

Subjects covered - reasons for lunging, lunging effectively - techniques and different equipment & overcoming lunging problems.
Approx. 2 hours
Need a couple of 'guinea pigs horses' who perhaps have encountered some issues or are not sure if what they are using is helping etc.
Cost: Adult £10pp, Child £7
Horse camp includes Saturday lesson @ HRA jump field with Jodie (very small jumps are available). Afternoon games /competition, the below lunge clinic, overnight camping and BBQ!
Cost: £40pp all in.
HRA cross country jump field is a 10 minute hack from Widmer - Jumps are a mixture of heights to suit anyone.
Cost: Only £15 (£5 goes towards bridleway improvement- bargain!)

David has over 40 years experience as a veterinary surgeon. He specializes in spinal conditions and manipulates the horse´s spine. Also talks on importance of correctly fitting tack. "David changed my horse (Freddy) literally overnight from a horse that reared / head shook to a settled and well behaved horse" Francesca Burfitt.
