- Pippa Heywood Dressage Clinic
Pippa has 40 years experience and concentrates on practical flatwork. Her imaginative exercises keep flatwork fresh. She is happy to work with riders of any level. Her focus is on flatwork and how it can work miracles on how a rider rides and how a horse performs whether in the dressage arena, show jumping or even just better control out hacking. She gets her reward from clients' progress and aim's to not just improve horse and rider but also understanding of why flatwork works so clients can make their own better training decisions between lessons.

Emphasis on simple exercises that can be easily used at home to improve horse and rider- whatever their level or ultimate goal. Sue also holds
demonstrations & lectures at Widmer.
- Jodie's XC schooling lesson
Jodie is a BHS AI Int. SM, trained in classical dressage with the Thurmans at Turville Valley Stud. Jodie has competed successfully on her own
horse and her clients horses in all three disciplines. Lesson in the ménage working on X country technique. Aim is to work towards an outing to Great Westwood XC
for a schooling day or Hodgemoor Riding Association Jump field. HRA cross country jump field is a 10 minute hack from Widmer - Jumps are a mixture of heights
to suit anyone.
- Adult summer camp exhaustion!
Horse camp includes lesson @ HRA jump field with Jodie. Afternoon games /competition, overnight camping and BBQ!
- Chiltern Equine – Vet Lecture
Chiltern vets in support of the Brookes charity holds vet lectures with us on numerous subjects such as laminitis, first aid and colic.
- David Watson – Treatment / Lecture/ Demo
David has over 40 years experience as a veterinary surgeon. He specializes in spinal conditions and manipulates the horse's spine. Also talks on
importance of correctly fitting tack.
- Catriona McGarvie EBW APNT lecture/ demo
Catriona is a local equine and human sport massage therapist. Catriona will talk about the equine musculoskeletal system, explain simple muscle
physiology and discuss how damaged tissues can affect the horse's performance at all levels. She will bring some insight to the aims of manual therapies and what the horse
owner can do to help their mount, followed by a demo to bring the anatomy of the horse to life and answer any questions.
- Karen Lewis – (Saddler) lecture
Karen lectures on the importance of correct tack fitting and what to look for. Talks about the consequences of incorrect tack. Demonstrates how
saddles are made to encourage a better understanding of different types of tack and when they should be used.
